With Win98, you can have a problem. There are only very limited USB support in Windows 98 If you're unlucky to have Win98 Release 1, you can no luck. If your Win98 press after installing the Windows driver updates are available to manufacturers for the proper Win98 USB-2 receive. Go to their website and look for a link to the downloads. If you have no luck there, go for the drivers www.drivers.com version of its windows.

You need to Win98SE (upgrade) to the network, USB or FireWire with Win98. You will not find Win98SE on eBay or find someone who has.

USB Flash support is only via the online updates. Since Windows 98 is no longer a supported operating system drivers and patches are no longer at Microsoft. The only way a USB flash drive would use someone who does not find the fact to update the copy for you.

That's right. They should be based on the manufacturer's website and look under the support pages for download. If it is compatible with Windows 98, which have a driver posted there.

Good luck!

You go to the manufacturer for the flash drive. Do not be disappointed if it breaks.

I recently purchased a 2G Ativa Flash Drive is specified in the package is not compatible with Win98.
